BlondeStar

So funny! I heard this audio clip yesterday on the radio. It starts off like those OnStar "real customer" commercials where someone calls into the OnStar help center, but this time someone is locked in their car with the keys on the outside. Yes, that's right. Go listen to it at http://www.smartelic.com - so funny!

Things to say

I really have nothing to say here right now, but I just wanted to let you all know that I'm still alive. Halloween is this week which means excess candy at the office next week - yum!

Toontown

So the other day I was watching the Disney channel and they had a short thing about an online game that Disney has released called Toontown. Now, I'm not sure how long it has been around because I have never heard of it, but it seems to have been around for a few months or even longer.

What it is is a MMORPG - a massively multiplayer online role paying game - aimed at kids (although I know a lot of adults and teens are playing too). It looked interesting so I decided to try it out.

It is a free download from Toontown.com so that was a big plus. There is a free three day trial and then it is $5 for the first month and $10 after that. I don't know if I will play it for more than a month but we'll see.

Basically this group of evil robots known as the Cogs is trying to take over Toontown and it is up to the toons to defeat the Cogs and save Toontown. Being evil robots with no sense of humor it logically follows that you must use humor to defeat them. Each new toon is equipped with a cupcake and a squirting flower to bring humor to the Cogs thus causing them to self destruct. As you progress through the game you get bigger and better gags to help you default bigger and badder Cogs.

My favorite part though is that you don't have to go at it alone - there are other people playing from all over the Internet who are usually friendly and helpful. Admittedly you occasionally run in to some yahoo who runs away in the middle of a big battle, but mosly people help each other out.

All in all it is a pretty fun time waster so if it sounds like your kind of thing, check it out.

Ah yes, it warms my heart to see that people are actually reading my blog...even if there are only two. But it is a start. Honorable mentions to Rus & Vicki for posting comments. Good work, guys.

Cookies (Again)

Well now we have some milk so I am looking forward to eating some cookies later on.

You know, some people say that Pepperidge Farm cookies are for snobby people and that Oreos are more for the common folk. Well to you I say have your Oreos, and I will continue on with the "Upper Crust" eating my Sausalito's and such.

So there.
